College Commitments
Congratulations goes out to the following Looney’s for their early commitments to play in College! Stay tuned to this section of the website as this list grows over time. These are the oldest graduation years in our program and are the teams that started our club. We expect to add many more kids from our club’s teams to this list!

2016
Ethan Mintzer, M, Calvert Hall (Md.) has verbally committed to Maryland. Playing on Cardinals' first two midfield lines this spring, Mintzer put up eight points as a freshman. He attended Jake Reed's Blue Chip, Free State Games, FLG in 3D, NHSLS, Under Armour Shootout, Legacy and the Under Armour Uncommitted Game, with an All-Star appearance at Baltimore Summer Kickoff. He strongly considered Ohio State, North Carolina and High Point.
Cole Williams, A, Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Johns Hopkins. The 6-4, 200-pound recruit scored five goals and 11 assists as a freshman on Varsity with Loyola Blakefield. Also plays for Looney's club lacrosse. Summer all star games made include Baltimore Summer Kickoff All-Star team, FLG Summer Shootout All-Star team, Freestate Top 22 Team, Under Armour Uncommitted 2016 game. Other events attended over the Summer include Jake Reed Blue Chip Camp, U15 National Championship with FCA National Team. Other schools considered include Loyola, Ohio State, Duke, Maryland, Hofstra.
Bryan Costabile, M, Mount Saint Joseph (Md.) has verbally committed to Notre Dame. The 6-0, 175 lb. sophomore scored 12 goals and five assists as a freshman on varsity for Mount St. Joseph’s first midfield line. This past summer he made Baltimore’s Under Armour All-America Underclass Team, the Maryland Freestate Top 22 Team and was named an All-Star at the Baltimore Summer Kickoff, also participating in Under Armour Shootout and FLG in 3D with Looney's Lacrosse Club. He strongly considered Ohio State, Yale, Penn, and Delaware.
Brendan Doyle, M. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Mount St. Mary's University. This past summer he made Baltimore’s Under Armour All-America Underclass Team, the Maryland Freestate Top 44 Team and was named an All-Star at the Baltimore Summer Kickoff. Other schools considered include Drexel, High Point, Lynchburg and York.
Michael Fanshaw, M, Calvert Hall (MD) has verbally committed to Towson. As a freshman he played both Attack and Midfield for the Varsity Cardinals. In addition to Calvert Hall he plays his club lacrosse for Looney’s Lacrosse Club. This past summer he attended Jake Reeds Blue Chip, Maryland Free State Games, Baltimore Summer Kickoff (selected to the All Star Team), FLG in 3D, the Under Armour Shootout, U15 National Championship with FCA National Team. He considered High Point and Loyola.
Eric Stout, D. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Towson University.
Jack Kinnear, A. Calvert Hall (Md.) has verbally committed to Villanova. As a freshman, he made Varsity. He attended Jake Reed’s Fall Nike Blue Chip, FLG in 3D, NHSLS, UP Lax, Terrapin Classic, Under Armor Shoot Out, and Under Armor All American Tryouts. He was selected to Freestate Top 44 and voted one of the “Terrapin Classic Most Impressive Players.” He strongly considered Loyola, Princeton, Penn, Georgetown and High Point.
Ryan Shaw, FO/Midfield. Boys Latin (Md.) has verbally committed to University of Delaware.
Luke Hurley, A. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Drexel University.
Joe McSorley, G. Calvert Hall (Md.) has verbally committed to Boston University.
Nicholas Griffin, D/LSM, Liberty HS, Marriottsville (Md.) has verbally committed to UMBC. The 6-3, 195 lb. junior, is considered one of Carroll County’s top defenders for the last two years. Prior to committing to UMBC, Nicholas made the 2015 Under Armour Underclass Baltimore team. As a junior at Liberty High School, he was named first team Carroll County and first team MVAL Conference at close defense. As a sophomore, he also was named first team Carroll County and first team MVAL Conference. Nicholas has been a member of Looney’s Lacrosse Club since 2009.
Cormac Bateman, M. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Catholic University.
Nick Goles, A. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Dickinson College.
Nate Leishear, LSM. Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to York College.
Danny O'Connell M. McDonogh (Md.) has verbally committed to York College.
Jalen Lomax M. Archbishop Curley (Md.) has verbally committed to Susquehanna University.
Spencer Eysaman M. Winters Mill HS (Md.) has verbally committed to University or Tampa.
2015
Ryan Conrad, M, Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has verbally committed to Virginia. Considered a surefire top 10 rising sophomore (clips of his hat trick vs. BL can be seen here), Conrad ran alongside two high D1-bound seniors on the Dons' first midfield, tallying 16 goals and 11 assists. So far this summer, he has played in the Free State Games, Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip, Baltimore Summer Kickoff and Rider MVP. Conrad plans on attending FLG in 3D, Brine Shootout and the USL National Championships. He strongly considered Duke, North Carolina, Johns Hopkins and Maryland.
Alex Roesner, A, Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has committed to the admissions process at Penn. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound attackman played varsity as a freshman for the MIAA runners up. A member of Looney's Lacrosse Club, Roesner attended Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip, Baltimore Summer Kickoff, MVP, Brine Shootout and FLG in 3D. He is also a two-time MVP of the championship game in the Dick's Tournament of Champions. His highlight reel can be seen here. Roesner strongly considered Michigan, Ohio State, Princeton, Villanova and Fairfield.
Acie Newton, G, Loyola Blakefield (Md. ) , has committed to the admissions process at Brown. As a sophomore, Newton helped the Dons win the MIAA 'A' Conference championship allowing just 8.2 goals per game and saving 55 percent of shots - highlight reel available here. A member of Looney's LC, he was an All-Star at Gait Cup, also attending Gait Cup, Under Armour Uncommitted Game and the Maryland Freestate Game. He also considered Yale, High Point and Lehigh.
Jack Lombardo, M, Loyola Blakefield (Md.) has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Saint Joseph's University. A member of Looney's Lacrosse Club, Lombardo's accolades include: Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip, Baltimore Summer Kickoff All-Star game 2012 and 2013, MVP All-Star game 2012, and the Gait Cup All-Star team in 2013.
Blake Gray, A, Mcdonogh (Md.) has committed to Gettysburg College. The 6-4, 205 pound recruit was selected and attended the 2012 and 2013 Jack Reed's Summer Blue Chip Camps. He also attended FLG in 3D, NHSLS, and UP Lax tournaments amongst many others. He was selected to the Free State Top 44 and voted an All-Star of the Baltimore Summer Kickoff tournament in 2012. He strongly considered Denison, Dartmouth University, Hamilton College, Michigan University, and Washington and Lee University.
Ryan Troxell, D/LSM, Westminster (Md.) has verbally committed to Stevenson. Prior to committing to Stevenson, Ryan was named to the 2015 Under Armour Uncommitted team. As a junior at Westminster, he was named first team Carroll County and MVAL Conference at close defense. As a sophomore, he received second team County and Conference honors the year Westminster was the Maryland Public 4/3A State Champions. Ryan has been a member of Looney’s Lacrosse Club since 2010. He also considered Mount St. Mary’s, Salisbury, and McDaniel.
Burke McManus, G. Dulaney High School (Md.) has verbally committed to Roanoke College.
Jack Kunowsky, M. Severn School (Md.) has verbally committed to Dickinson College
